Meeting Minutes
What it is
Meeting minutes are a short written record of a meeting: who attended, what was discussed, what was decided and which actions were assigned to whom by when. Good minutes are short and focused on decisions and actions, not a transcript of everything that was said.
Why it matters
They turn conversation into agreement. Sending minutes quickly gives people a chance to correct misunderstandings and holds owners to their actions. Sharing them promptly also gives quieter attendees a chance to add what they meant, which reduces later disagreements and keeps the record trustworthy.
Example
After a workshop at Tidewater Insurance, the analyst sends minutes the same day: three decisions, two open questions and an action list such as "Fatima to confirm fraud-check rules by Friday". Because each action has an owner and a date, it is easy to check at the next meeting what has been done and what is late.
