About BA Mentorship

Learn business analysis by doing the work

BA Mentorship is a small, independent learning service that lets you practise business analysis on a simulated company project, from the business case to go-live.

What BA Mentorship is

The core of BA Mentorship is the BA Lab: a fictional company project in an industry you choose, worked through in 13 stages. In each stage you read short What / Why / Example explanations, receive a task from a fictional manager, produce the artefact a real BA would produce, and get feedback from automatic checks and optional AI review. Packages also include downloadable kits, and the blog and glossary are free for everyone.

Why it exists

Many people trying to become business analysts can explain the theory but have never written a requirement for a real problem, queried a table, read an API response or planned user acceptance testing. Entry-level roles often ask for exactly that practice. BA Mentorship exists to give career switchers, graduates and BAs moving into a new industry a safe place to do that work, make mistakes and improve, at a one-time price.

How the Lab is built

  • Fictional, realistic scenarios. Each industry has a fictional company, people, data tables, API endpoints, tickets and documents, written to feel like a real project without using any real organisation's information.
  • Plain English first. Every term is explained with what it is, why it matters and an example before you are asked to use it.
  • Checks that explain themselves. Automatic checks flag common mistakes, say why they matter and suggest a fix. They are consistent, but they are not a human reviewer.
  • Optional AI feedback with limits. AI review is a second opinion, sent only when you ask for it, and it can be wrong.
  • Simulations, not imitations. The Jira-style board, Confluence-style space and dashboard builder teach the ideas behind those tools; they are not the real products.

Editorial standards: BA Mentorship Editorial

Articles on the blog are published under the name BA Mentorship Editorial. This is how they are made:

  • Written for learners, not for search engines. Each article answers a question people learning business analysis actually ask, with worked examples.
  • AI assistance is disclosed. Articles may be drafted with AI assistance. Every draft is reviewed, fact-checked and edited by Raghavendra N before publication, and nothing is published automatically.
  • No invented facts. We do not publish made-up statistics, salaries, testimonials or reviews. Where a figure matters, we link to its source or leave it out.
  • Honest about limits. We say when something depends on the organisation, country or certification body, and we never claim to certify you or guarantee a job.
  • Dated and corrected. Articles show when they were published and last updated. If you spot an error, email support.bamentorship@gmail.com and we will check and correct it.

Our honesty commitments

  • Prices are shown in US dollars before tax, as one-time payments with no automatic renewal.
  • We describe simulated practice as simulated practice, and ask you to do the same on your CV.
  • We do not use advertising trackers or sell personal data. See the privacy notice.
  • Earlier customers keep their original terms, editions and access; their policies stay unchanged on the policies page.
  • We do not certify learners and are not affiliated with IIBA, PMI, IREB, Atlassian or Microsoft. See the disclaimer.

Who runs it
